Position: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)
Staffing Requirement:
Part 1 – Denver Women's Correctional Facility (DWCF)
Physical Address: 3600 Havana Street, Denver, CO 80239
Location: East Cañon complex in Fremont County, just east of Cañon City, Colorado. [1]
Coverage: Seven-day-a-week operations with 13-hour 20-minute shift rotations.

Mandatory Candidate Qualifications
Each proposed RN must:
- Hold an active, unencumbered Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Have dedicated, verifiable inpatient psychiatric nursing experience.
- Have proven clinical experience working with individuals diagnosed with Substance Use Disorders (SUDs).
- Be legally authorized and appropriately licensed/certified/credentialed to perform the services in Colorado.
- Have experience relevant to psychiatric nursing, behavioral health, SUD treatment, correctional healthcare, or similar settings.
Please prioritize candidates with experience in:
- Correctional healthcare / incarcerated populations
- Psychiatric or behavioral health units
- Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment
- Co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions
- Medication administration, including routine, emergency, and involuntary medications
- Medication compliance monitoring
- Patient education regarding SUD-related medical and psychiatric complications
- Individual and group therapeutic/educational sessions
- Multidisciplinary team meetings
- Urine analysis/testing
- Substance-induced psychosis or similar psychiatric populations

- Resume must not exceed 4 pages.
- Clearly identify the candidate's RN license number/state and license status.
- Include relevant psychiatric/inpatient experience and SUD experience.
- Clearly identify correctional healthcare experience, if applicable.
- Include relevant education, certifications, professional training, and affiliations.
- Include at least 3 client/professional references, with contact information, where available.
- Letter of commitment
- Clearly identify the projects/facilities, dates/years, job title, and duties performed for relevant experience.
