Title: Psych Tech
Duration: 13 weeks
Location: 601 Elmwood Ave, Rochester, NY 14642
Schedule: Rotating Shift 3*12s 36hours/week
Unit: 492
Schedule: 12-hour rotating D/E/N shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights).
Hours: 36 HPW or 48 HPW.
Shift Requirements: Holidays, weekends, on-call, and callback as per unit needs.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent experience.
Required Certification: AHA BLS.
Education: Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology – REQUIRED.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to inpatient psychiatric patients.
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Support social and psychiatric rehabilitation activities as directed by the RN.
Communicate effectively with patients and ensure access to required services.
Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the RN.
Participate in patient rounds and group therapy as needed.
Recruiter Notes:
Recent psychiatric/inpatient experience required.
AAS degree in Psychology or Sociology is mandatory.
Must be flexible with rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on-call requirements.
