AtMerrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The annual base salary range is 290,000–$360,000, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, andinternal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the rangeto support future salary growth.

Position Overview:
Merrimack Healthis seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatristwith responsibilityforproviding high-quality psychiatric and psychopharmacologic care to adult patients within Merrimack Health’s Behavioral Health program. This role includes conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations,utilizingmeasurement-based care tools, delivering evidence-based treatment, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered outcomes. The Psychiatrist functions as both a direct care provider and consultant, supporting integrated care across primary care, specialty behavioral health, and community-based settings, while contributing to education, supervision, and program development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and psychopharmacologic evaluations for adult patients
Utilize measurement-based care tools (e.g., PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS) to guide diagnosis and treatment planning
Diagnose and treat behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria and evidence-based practices
Provide medication management for patients with varying clinical complexity
Determineappropriate levelof care and coordinate referrals across care settings
Provide consultation to primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams
Deliver crisis intervention including suicide risk assessment and safety planning
Maintain DEA, MCSR, and prescribing compliance
Document carein a timely manner(within 24–48 hours)
Supervise and educate trainees including PMHNP residents and students
Participate in case conferences and clinical meetings
Meet productivity expectations aligned with organizational benchmarks
Utilize EHR systems andparticipatein quality improvement initiatives
Monitor lab and diagnostic data relevant to treatment
Demonstrate cultural humility and trauma-informed care
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Active Massachusetts medical license or eligibility
Active DEA and MCSR registration
Strong knowledge of DSM-5-TR
