Position Overview
Interdynamics, Inc. is an established behavioral health organization providing outpatient mental health and substance use services to a diverse community in Hyattsville, Maryland. Key Responsibilities
The Psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and clinical consultation services, including:
Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and CON evaluations, as applicable to the program''s clinical and regulatory requirements.
Assessing patients'' psychiatric symptoms, clinical histories, and presenting concerns to establish appropriate diagnoses.
Developing individualized treatment plans that address patients'' clinical, emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral needs.
Providing psychotherapy and medication management, as appropriate to the patient''s needs and the clinician''s scope of practice.
Monitoring treatment progress, medication effectiveness, potential side effects, and overall clinical response.
Adjusting treatment plans and medication regimens when clinically indicated.
Collaborating with patients, families, and multidisciplinary treatment team members to promote continuity and coordination of care.
Providing clinical consultation and guidance to support effective, patient-centered treatment.
Maintaining accurate, timely, and complete clinical records in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations.
Participating in ongoing professional development and maintaining current knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric practices.
Required Qualifications
Qualified candidates must demonstrate substantial psychiatric experience, professional integrity, and a commitment to quality care.
Active Maryland medical license in good standing.
At least 10 years of experience practicing psychiatry.
Strong psychiatric assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Experience with psychiatric treatment, including medication management and psychotherapy, as applicable.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population and multidisciplinary behavioral health professionals.
Commitment to compassionate, ethical, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care.
Strong organizational skills and attention to clinical documentation requirements.
