The Opportunity

An established Psychiatry Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida, in collaboration with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrist to join its growing academic faculty team.

This is a faculty role with immediate need, offering the chance to teach, supervise residents, and practice psychiatry in a collaborative and academically enriched environment.

Program & Practice Details

• The residency program is fully accredited and supports 32 residents

• Faculty appointment available through the University of Central Florida College of Medicine

• The Department of Psychiatry includes:

  • A 33-bed inpatient unit

  • Consultation-liaison service

  • PHP/IOP clinic and ECT service

• The Behavioral Health Center provides inpatient treatment for adults 18+ experiencing acute illnesses requiring 24-hour care

• Certified Baker Act Receiving Facility accepting both voluntary and direct admissions

• The role includes inpatient consults and IOP care

• Resident in-house 24/7 for consults, admissions, and emergencies

• Call responsibilities: 1:5 rotation

• Supervise 3–4 residents and participate in didactic instruction

• Board eligible or board certified in psychiatry

• New graduates with a passion for teaching are welcome
