    Job Description

    About the role

    • Full-time (24 credit load), tenure-track position in the Department of Psychological Sciences, including teaching, research, mentoring of undergraduate students, and service to the university. A clinical faculty appointment is also an option, with clinical work substituting for scholarly research. Courses are delivered predominantly face-to-face.

    What you'll do

    • Teach some combination of core psychology courses offered in the major, and/or other courses in the specialty of the candidate. 
    • Actively engage in either creating and implementing a research agenda; OR a clinical practice that engages your teaching. 
    • Advise undergraduate students regarding their academic plans and career.
    • Mentor and advise student research projects or preparation for clinical professions.
    • Collaborate in departmental programming.
    • Serve on a university committee(s) as assigned.
    • Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline.

    Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Ability to teach core Psychology courses, in addition to other courses that reflect the candidate’s specialty or the needs of the department.
    • Ability to engage with and mentor students.
    • Ability to implement a research plan and commitment to involving students in research projects; OR sustained clinical practice that contributes to the field and enriches teaching.
    • Commitment to exploring connections between psychology and the Christian Faith.
    • Ability and desire to support inclusive excellence in the University community.
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively as a member of a team.

    Experience:

    • Teaching and research experience preferred

    Education:

    • Ph.D., Psy.D., or ABD in Psychology or related field required

    Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. This is an in-person position, so remote work is not an option for this role.

    Compensation

    We are open to hiring an Assistant, Associate or Full Professor for this position. The range for an Assistant Professor is $55,599 - $70,043, Associate Professor is $62,927 - $84,168 and Full Professor is $77,265 - $95,904. Salary and rank determined by education and experience.
