Psychologist II - Behavioral Psychology

Overview

The Psychologist II (3i) will provide clinical services, clinical supervision, and case management for outpatient cases as specified by the Director of the inpatient service, outpatient clinic, or Department Head as part of the Initial Immediate Intervention (3i) program. 3i is an innovative service-delivery program that provides immediate access to clinical services through an online parent platform, with oversight by a licensed psychologist. The incumbent will additionally participate in hiring, supervising and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff and participate in programs of systematic research.

Responsibilities

1. Provide clinical services to families of in/outpatients including conducting initial clinical evaluations to determine appropriateness for 3i, developing individualized treatment goals, and recommending treatment strategies via the 3i digital platform.2. Supervise and collaborate with non-clinical Navigators who support family engagement with the platform.3. Participate in regular case review rounds to monitor progress and make data-based clinical decisions4. Complete evaluation, progress, and discharge documentation.5. Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.6. Participate in hiring, supervising, and evaluating Behavioral Psychology staff for specific programs.7. Provide supervision and training for Behavioral Psychology doctoral interns and post-doctoral fellows.8. Participate in administrative, clinical, and training meetings as necessary.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:• Must possess and maintain licensure to practice as a Psychologist in the state of Maryland.• Must be credentialed through the Kennedy Krieger Medical staff office before beginning the position. • Must have completed a minimum of a one-year clinical internship in psychology with specialization in pediatric behavior disorders.

 

EDUCATION:• Doctoral degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited college or university required.• Internship training from an APA-accredited program in clinical child or pediatric psychology.

 

EXPERIENCE:• Two years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting dealing with children, adolescents, and family therapy is required. This experience may be satisfied through post-doctoral fellowship training in pediatric psychology. • Experience in conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc. is preferred.
