Description

Job Description: 
  • Psychometric Testing: Administer, score, and interpret psychological tests and test batteries for crisis intervention, risk assessment, neuropsychological issues, and severe behavioral management cases.
  • Mental Health Interventions: Develop and implement psychological, social, and substance abuse interventions for offenders with mental illness as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Clinical Services: Conduct individual and group therapy sessions as prescribed in mental health treatment plans, provide mental health liaison services, and complete detailed screenings, evaluations, and crisis interventions.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Act as a lead worker, providing clinical supervision to psychology assistants and interns, ensuring compliance with State Board of Psychology rules.
  • Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports, document all offender interactions, and maintain detailed records of mental health liaison progress, discharge plans, and treatment summaries.
  • Consultation and Collaboration: Collaborate with other institutional staff regarding the mental health caseload, inmate adjustment, and service needs; participate in peer reviews and psychology case consultations.
  • Training and Development: Attend and instruct in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development; conduct expert-witness assessments and participate in institutional audits as needed.


Requirements: 
Licensure: Must hold a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Ohio State Board of Psychology.
Skills: Proficiency in behavioral health, documentation, programming, and maintaining confidentiality. Strong decision-making abilities, customer focus, emotional intelligence, teamwork, and professional demeanor are essential.

Pay Rate:
$98,600 annually
