Position Highlights

HealthPlus Staffing is seeking a licensed Psychologist to join one of the largest and most respected community health organizations in Southwest Georgia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary behavioral health team dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered mental health services across the region.

As part of a nationally recognized Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH), you will provide comprehensive psychological assessments, evidence-based therapy, and individualized treatment planning while working alongside psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed counselors, social workers, and primary care providers. Practice Details

  • Full-time employed position
  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Outpatient behavioral health practice
  • Average patient volume of approximately 20 patients per day
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary team including psychologists, LPCs, LCSWs, PMHNPs, psychometrists, and primary care providers
  • Utilize eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic medical record system
  • Provide psychological services within a nationally recognized Level III Patient-Centered Medical Home
  • Opportunity to serve a diverse patient population across all age groups

Clinical Opportunity

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and diagnostic evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide individual psychotherapy and mental health counseling
  • Deliver crisis intervention services for patients experiencing acute psychological distress
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions when appropriate
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, behavioral health providers, and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Stay current with emerging psychological research and best clinical practices to enhance patient care

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $150,000
  • Potential $50,000 Sign-on Bonus

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution
  • Active Georgia Psychologist license (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards governing psychological practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Specialized training in crisis intervention or family therapy
  • Experience working with culturally diverse patient populations
  • Familiarity with behavior modification techniques and evidence-based psychotherapy modalities
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or community health setting
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
