Position Overview

Provides therapuetic services for the Sexual and Gender Health clinic. Conducts multi-axial diagnostic assessment, determines clinical interventions, facilitates therapy and provides education for patients and their families. Facilitates treatment planning and manages each case. Responsible for development of transition/discharge plan. Communicates effectively and respectfully with others, including interdisciplinary team and all other contacts. Functions as an interdisciplinary team member.

Schedule 

• 1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week
• Monday -Friday 8:30am-5:00pm (one evening until 6:30p a week of needed) 

 

Job Expectations

• Conducts diagnostic evaluation and documents assessment in medical record. Conducts diagnostic evaluation
  and confers diagnosis as appropriate.
• Demonstrates clinical competency to partner with multi-disciplinary team in the treatment planning process.
• Demonstrates competence in developing a clinically relevant transition/discharge plan.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in conducting group therapy, family therapy and psycho-education groups.
• Demonstrates the ability to advance evidence-based practice by utilizing standards, guidelines and pathways for
  care delivery.
• Promotes a culture of evidence based practice by participation in any of, but not limited to, the following activities:
  • Utilizing evidence based policies in clinical practice
  • Attends and participates in learning opportunities about evidence base practice
  • Membership in hospital or unit based practice council/research council
  • Evidence based practice project (e.g. policy development or poster presentation)
  • Journal club, journal article critique and circulation
  • Literature review
  • Development of standard/pathway/guideline for patient care
  • Presentation
  • Research study

 

Required Qualifications

• Master of Social Work and/or Psychology
• For outpatient units, De-escalation and Self-Defense training and retraining
• One of the following licenses
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) 
  • Licensed Psychologist 
  • Licensed Prof Clinical Counsel 
  • Licensed Marriage and Fam Therapy
• Experience with sex and gender therapy

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years supervised therapy experience in mental health including assessment, individual, group and family therapy
• A team member that has worked with LGBTQ+ individuals
• A team member with experience with sex therapy and/or gender care

 

Qualifications: $81,702.40- $115,336.00 Annual
