Job Summary
This position is responsible for assisting the Creative Services Manager in handling graphic design projects, performing print jobs, completing post-production of projects, maintaining cleanliness and order in Creative Services, and assisting all clients - students, employees, and outside customers alike. Responsible for using basic graphic design skills to visually communicate on-campus needs, events, and other topics while adhering to and maintaining College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) brand identity on many mediums and platforms.
Typical Job Functions
- Uses graphic design skills to visually communicate on-campus needs, events, and other topics while adhering to and maintaining College of Eastern Idaho (CEI) brand identity on many mediums and platforms.
- Set up and printing of jobs on the digital production copier. (In-House Training Provided)
- Assists in various post-production needs, including trimming of printed pieces, spiral binding, folding, hole-punching, laminating, shrink-wrapping, mounting and others. (In-House Training Provided)
- Meets with customers to assess needs and find solutions, send proofs and gather feedback.
- Checks for copyright and licensing violations prior to printing.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or in process of obtaining or equivalent experience.
- 0-1 Years of professional experience
- Ability to prioritize work to meets deadlines.
- Basic understanding and use of art and design principles as demonstrated by a portfolio.
- Basic understanding and application of typography and hierarchy.
- Self-initiative to keep up to date on design trends, technology, and professional techniques.
- Proficient in task prioritization and time management.
- Effective research and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient verbal, visual, and written communication.
- Proficient grammar, spelling, and basic math skills.
- Adaptable and fast learner.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI does not sponsor Visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Photography experience.
- Bilingual (Spanish)

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
