Description of Duties

The candidate selected will perform the following duties:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI models and algorithms.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address AI-related challenges.

• Analyze and interpret complex data to extract actionable insights.

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot existing AI applications and models, including fixing bugs and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

• Continuously improve AI models through iteration and experimentation.

• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning.

• Document and present findings and results to stakeholders.

Desired Skillset / Minimum Experience

The candidate selected for this position must have the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Proven experience in AI, machine learning, or data science.

• Experience with natural language processing (NLP) and computer vision.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure) and Azure Synapse and data workflows (pipelines).

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Engagement & Operational Requirements

• Location & Travel: The preferred candidate location is within the Continental United States. Work will be virtual/remote until further notice. When required onsite, work sessions, in-person interviews, or meetings will take place at designated client facilities.

• Orientation & Equipment: The resource must attend an initial onsite orientation session for a full day to pick up assigned project equipment in person. Equipment will not be shipped and cannot be picked up by anyone else. Travel costs for equipment pickup and orientation will not be reimbursed if the resource is based within a standard local commuting distance.

• Travel Expenses: Any approved travel expenses submitted for reimbursement must adhere to standard federal travel guidelines (covering hotel, mileage, and meals per diem) and include proper documentation (receipts). All travel expenses must be submitted within 60 days of the occurrence.

• Workspace & Connectivity: The vendor is responsible for providing workspace for its project team when necessary. Computer equipment and remote access will be provided as required. All issued equipment must be returned in good working condition within 2 weeks of offboarding.

• Onboarding & Compliance: Vendors must provide complete and accurate onboarding information within the required timeframe (typically 5 to 7 business days). Onboarding prerequisites include:
