About the role

The primary responsibility of the  Public Areas Attendantis supporting our Housekeeping team in taking care of a building’s general sanitation, cleanliness & ambiance. Their duties include maintaining the cleanliness of all public spaces, removing linen and trash from guest rooms, maintaining the organization & cleanliness of storage areas, providing guests with items upon request, and supporting the Housekeeping team with cleaning duties to ensure rooms are clean & ready for check-in.


What you'll do

  • Outside of room should be kept clean and tidy
  • Empty trash for the entire room and public areas
  • Deliver any requested  amenities, linens, and supplies to guest rooms
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of all hotel features/services, activities, and events. Responsible for ensuring all positions are knowledgeable all the same and able to engage/discuss with guests.
  • Ensure all public areas of hotel are clean 
  • Deliver any lost and found items to appropriate area
  • Be able to communicate effectively with guests and provide exceptional customer service
  • Adhere to hotel requirements for guest/employee accidents or injuries and in emergency situations. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all department policies/service procedures/standards. 
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times 
  • Resolve guest complaints and concerns to ensure guest satisfaction. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Ensure storage and closets are stocked properly and maintain an organized layout. 

Qualifications


  • Previous  experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • Must be team player
  • The ability to multitask
  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull at least 40 pounds
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Must exhibit good judgment while performing under pressure.
  • Must be dedicated to our goal of providing superior guest experiences.
  • Must be able to utilize text/chat technology on a phone or tablet
