About You
At BLAZE, we embrace creative teamwork and pride ourselves in developing innovative strategies to achieve client goals. As an intern with BLAZE, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and learn the business of PR at a boutique public relations firm. You will gain an understanding of how media works as you support our teams on a number of different clients across the restaurant/hospitality, health & wellness/beauty, lifestyle and beverage industries. 

Internships at BLAZE

BLAZE offers internships year-round, we are always accepting resumes from enthusiastic students who are interested in joining one of our internship teams.

In order to intern with BLAZE, you must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, excellent research and multi-tasking skills, and be well organized with a heightened attention to detail and deadlines. You must have a strong desire to pursue a career in the PR field and a professional and personable demeanor both in person and on the phone.   

As an intern with BLAZE, you will write press releases and pitches, provide media relations support, compile and research press clippings, update contact databases, research influencers for in-kind opportunities, assist on special projects, and aid in administrative assignments.

Location & Work Structure
This internship is primarily remote, however interns may be asked to assist with in-person events, client activations, or special projects as needed. For this reason, candidates must be based in Southern California and able to attend occasional in-person assignments.

Are You an Ideal Candidate?

Ideal candidates for our program have a major relative to the field of PR, as well as two or more PR internships with agencies that represent consumer products and lifestyle brands similar to those represented by BLAZE.

Our interns come to BLAZE familiar with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Keynote, Google Workspace, online research tools and everyday office devices (multi-line phone system, printing, scanning, etc.).
