Job Posting

The City of Waverly is currently accepting applications for the position of Public Works Superintendent.

The Public Works Maintenance Superintendent is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Citys Maintenance Department, including streets, utilities, parks, stormwater systems, public buildings, and equipment. This role supervises staff, manages budgets, coordinates capital improvement projects, ensures regulatory compliance, and responds to emergencies, including rotating on-call duties. Candidates should have strong leadership, public works, and project management experience, along with a CDL, Class D Water and Class SD Wastewater licenses, and at least six years of public works experience, including three years in a supervisory role. Starting wage: $43.98-$48.55/hour, depending on qualifications, with benefits.
