Responsibilities:

The Department of Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama Whiddon College of Medicine in Mobile, Alabama is looking for a full-time board eligible/board certified Pulmonary/Critical Care provider to join the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. Responsibilities will include teaching students, house staff and fellows, patient care, performance of pulmonary related procedures, and basic and/or clinical research. The chosen candidate will join our division compromised of 8 academic faculty members and 9 pulmonary fellows. Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research time, formal teaching at the COM undergraduate level, clinical educator role, etc.

  • Successful completion/in process of completing an ACGME accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in both Pulmonary Disease & Critical Care Medicine
  • Ability to obtain medical license/DEA for the state of Alabama
