Summary:

The Pump Mechanic will repair/fabricate a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, and reciprocating pumps, gear reducers and related rotating equipment, troubleshoot, disassemble, inspect and repair a variety of rotating equipment including centrifugal pumps (both single and multi-stage), gear pumps, reciprocating pumps and metering pumps, gear reducers, blowers (both vacuum and pressure), mechanical seals, and many other types of equipment.

Responsibilities of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:

• Assemble centrifugal pumps
• Balance impellers and complete rotating assemblies
• Installing equipment using manufacturing specifications ensuring proper alignment balance and tolerances
• Read and understand IOM and BOM
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to all safety procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with tam members to develop solutions for mechanical challenges
• Use overhead crane, forklift and manlift
• Inspect TIR of components when required

Qualifications of the Pump Mechanic include, but are not limited to:

• Previous experience working with API centrifugal pumps/rotating equipment is preferred
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools, machine tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and follow safety procedures and regulations
• Background check, physical, and drug test required
• Must be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised

Shift Time/Overtime: Day shift, with regular overtime. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational demands, workload, and customer requirements.
