PURCHSING AGENT $21 - $23 HR
Duties & Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services according to the company's policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with managers to maintain inventory levels.
- Evaluate vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history.
- Work with vendors to negotiate volume and payment term discounts, and other available discounts.
- Ensure that purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions.
- Maintain pricing history and vendor record files.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with good negotiation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience
- Purchasing experience required.
- Bachelors degree in related field is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.
