Specific Duties
* Follow all applicable environmental, health and safety rules and procedures and immediately report all dangerous situations, near-misses, and injuries.
* Buyer Activities: procuring goods and services, for example, raw materials, consumables, small equipment, tools, parts, supplies.
* Reviews and processes requisitions for correct authorization and vendor selection. Confers with vendors to obtain product service information, for example, price, availability, and delivery schedule.
* Maintain correct inbound freight cost on purchase orders.
* Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items and/or feedback from Plant personnel and management.
* Continually monitor current values according to the Knowledge of the market price (3 quotes) and corporate requirements.
* Minimum of BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field.
* Must demonstrate strong public speaking, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Must have the ability to work independently and possess strong decision-making, motivational, workload management, analytical and organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Require 5-10 years purchasing experience with ERP system.
* Ability to read blueprints and engineering documents, required.
