Job Summary:This role supports a purchasing department by handling administrative tasks, managing supplier communications, and processing system data to foster supplier development. The associate will contribute to achieving objectives related to cost, quality, and operational efficiency within the supply base. Success in this position involves meticulous data management and proactive supplier engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier setup, price adjustments, and payment requests.
- Manage purchase requisitions and orders within SAP/Ariba.
- Generate and maintain weekly operational reports.
- Track and follow up with suppliers for data confirmation and overdue items.
- Document and update business processes to enhance efficiency.
Must-Have Skills:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1 year in automotive buying/purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
This position requires experience in the automotive manufacturing or supply chain industry, with a focus on procurement and supplier relations.
