Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Job Location: Jessup, MD or Branchburg, NJ
Work Schedule: 100% On-site, M–F
Compensation:$100k–$160k Base Salary DOE + Performance-Based Profit Sharing/Bonus + Comprehensive Health Benefits + 401(k) with Discretionary Employer Match + PTO

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Purchasing experience in Distribution or Manufacturing for Commercial customers
• 2+ years of Management/Leadership experience, including direct supervision
• Experience with large ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar)
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and KPI reporting
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn AI tools and automation

**Preferred:**

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field
• Equipment parts or irrigation industry experience
• Infor CSD experience
• Power BI / Power Query experience
• Microsoft Copilot experience
• CPSM, CPIM, or Six Sigma certification

Job Details

Our client is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and supply chain operations across its established, growing organization. This role will focus on strategic purchasing, inventory optimization, vendor management, and process improvements while leveraging advanced ERP systems, analytics, and automation to drive efficiencies and working closely with executive leadership.

**Key Responsibilities:**

· Lead purchasing operations, including inventory management, demand planning, and vendor negotiations\
· Oversee and develop the purchasing team across multiple locations\
· Optimize inventory levels, purchasing costs, and supplier performance\
· Leverage ERP systems, advanced Excel, and analytics to improve purchasing decisions\
· Implement automation and technology-driven process improvements\
· Analyze purchasing trends, lead times, and inventory carrying costs\
· Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop and execute purchasing strategies\
· Identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve overall supply chain efficiencies
