    If yes, then bring your talent and skills to F.E. Moran! We have an exciting opportunity in our Northbrook office, for a Purchasing Specialist to join our team. As our company continues to expand, we want you to grow and develop with us!

    You Are:

    • EXPERIENCED: Previous purchasing experience; experience in or desire to learn the construction/ manufacturing industry
    • KNOWLEDGEABLE: 1-5 years of relevant work experience with Penta experience
    • TECHNICAL: Strong data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office, ERP, vendor software and database programs; knowledge and previous experience with Penta is a plus
    • ANALYTICAL: Ability to analyze, think critically, problem-solve, and effectively negotiate
    • A SELF-STARTER: Demonstrate time management skills; successfully work on multiple priorities; meet deadlines
    • A COMMUNICATOR: Effectively communicate, both verbally and written, to varied levels of audiences regularly

    What You'll Do:

    • EVALUATE: Assist project teams with purchasing materials, as needed.Negotiate pricing for bulk purchasing for fabrication shop while establishing and maintaining vender relationships.Conduct bid analysis, and invoice auditing processes for equipment and materials
    • CONNECT: Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure best pricing, timely delivery, and service of equipment and materials needed for construction and service projects
    • TRACK: Input vendor and purchase order information for logistics, invoicing, and inventory control functions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
    • COORDINATE: Assist with coordinating delivery of equipment and materials to project sites and other locations
