Python Developer

Location: McLean, VA (Within 30 miles to Mclean, VA)

Pay Range: 40-45/hr on w2

Should be able to work on Artech w2

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced professional to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native applications and data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, AWS services, serverless architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered)

• 8 years of software development 
• Strong programming experience in Python and SQL.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Amazon S3, DynamoDB, Redshift, Kinesis, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, CloudWatch.
• Experience with PySpark, Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Databricks.
• Must have previous client experience working for this customer in the past 5 years.

 Qualifications (Must Have _

• Experience with Snowflake, Apache Airflow, and Kafka.
• Experience integrating Machine Learning solutions using Amazon SageMaker.
• Exposure to financial services, banking, aviation, or highly regulated industries.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities (key tasks and expectations for the role)

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and AWS serverless solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, and API integrations.
• Build and optimize large-scale ETL/ELT data pipelines using AWS Glue, PySpark, EMR, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Create and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
