Python Software Engineer - Mandarin Required

As a Software Engineer, you will be an integral member of an agile technology team responsible for designing, developing and delivering secure, stable and scalable applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test and implement new and existing software applications.
• Build and maintain web applications using Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs.
• Develop front-end functionality using HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Write clean, efficient, secure and maintainable production-quality Python code.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
• Develop test plans, test cases and automated functional testing scripts.
• Conduct unit testing and system integration testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring remediation and improve application stability.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Follow secure coding, application development and change management procedures.

Language Requirement: Mandarin fluency is required for this position.

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• Strong hands-on development experience with Python, Django and Django REST Framework.
• Advanced Python programming skills with the ability to produce clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Experience designing, building and maintaining REST APIs.
• Front-end development experience with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Strong software testing, debugging and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• MUST be fluent in Mandarin.

• Java development experience.
• Linux experience.
• Business Intelligence tools experience.
• Experience working with databases beyond those typically supported by Django.
• Previous experience within an enterprise application development environment.

Location: Midtown Manhattan, near Bryant Park

Working Pattern: On-site 5 days per week
