Job Description

insurance domain experience which is non-negotiable and a must-have for these roles. Prior USAA experience is highly preferred, as candidates need to understand the insurance business and be able to contribute effectively with minimal ramp-up time. Please ensure the profiles submitted are thoroughly screened against the following requirements.

Skills:

  • Code Quality Testing: SonarQube scanning via TV2 pipelines
  • Performance Testing: Taurus and JMeter
  • Integration Testing & API Testing: Postman
  • Security Testing: Polaris (Coverity) and OWASP ZAP
  • Test Management: qTest and Jira
  • Monitoring Tools: Datadog and Fortuna
  • Functional Testing: Strong hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing
  • AWS and Lambda
  • UI Automation
  • Experience managing and leading a team of 12 15 resources, ensuring effective coordination, delivery accountability, and quality outcomes.

We are looking to fill 4 QA Automation Lead positions for the USAA P&C account. Please prioritize this requirement and share qualified candidate profiles that closely meet the following non-negotiable criteria.

1. Mandatory Requirements

  • USAA Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a QA Lead at USAA.
  • Location: Plano, TX (preferred) or San Antonio, TX (acceptable). Remote work is not an option.
  • Core Technology: Billing, Base, Saleforce , test automation, and Playwright (UI and API) are mandatory.
  • Overall Experience: 10+ years in software testing, including QA leadership and automation.

2. Functional & Leadership Skills

  • Strong Billing, Base, Saleforce , domain expertise.
  • QA strategy, test planning, execution oversight, defect management, and release governance.
  • Client interfacing, stakeholder coordination, status reporting, issue resolution, and strong written and verbal communication.
  • Prior experience in a USAA Quality/Testing Lead role is strongly preferred.

3. Technical Skills & Tools

  • Programming & Scripting: Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, SQL.
  • Test Automation: Playwright (UI and API), Selenium, Cucumber BDD.
  • Mobile Testing: Native mobile testing, Appium, Sauce Labs, Perfecto.
  • API & Integration Testing: Postman, Karate, Kafka, event-driven integration testing.
  • Cloud & Scheduling: AWS, Control-M.
  • Database & Data Testing: SQL, database testing, ETL validation, data reconciliation.
  • Performance Testing: JMeter, BlazeMeter.
  • Accessibility Testing: A11y testing, Evinced, WCAG compliance validation.
  • Guidewire Automation: GT-UI Framework and automation of Guidewire workflows.
  • CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab pipeline integration.
  • Test Management: Jira, qTest.
  • Methodology: Agile and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
