Job Description: Our client, a major IT Consulting firm, is seeking a highly skilled QA Automation & Testing Engineer Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, a passion for quality, and experience in designing and implementing automated testing frameworks for mobile and web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute automated test plans for mobile and web platforms.
Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks to support scalable testing solutions.
Collaborate with development teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Utilize a variety of tools and frameworks for UI and functional testing.
Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines and maintain version control systems.
Analyze and troubleshoot issues found during testing and document results.
Work with databases and APIs to validate backend functionalities.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of professional experience in software testing or automation development.
Expertise in mobile and web application testing methodologies and tools.
Hands-on experience designing and implementing custom test automation frameworks.
Proficiency with test automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or similar.
Skilled in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, Ruby, or Groovy.
Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, or Cucumber.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins).
Working knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) for test validation.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or Playwright.
Familiarity with native mobile testing tools like XCUITest, Espresso, or UIAutomator.
Understanding of microservices architecture and testing strategies.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
