QA Specialist/Lead

Software Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Manager to lead our new QA resources in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, and test planning.

In this role, you will

• Mentor QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Provide leadership and guidance in defining, implementing, and maintaining QA best practices.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans based on project requirements and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing aligns with development milestones
• Oversee the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
• Monitor and analyze test results, identifying and prioritizing issues for resolution.
• Develop and implement an automation strategy to increase testing efficiency and coverage.
• Evaluate and integrate appropriate testing tools to enhance the automation framework.
• Collaborate with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and drive improvements.
• Act as a point of contact for quality-related discussions and decisions.
• Work with 3rd Party Vendors as needed.
• Establish and maintain metrics for QA effectiveness, defect rates, and testing coverage.
• Generate and communicate regular reports to management on the status of software quality.

What it takes

• Minimum of five years related work experience. Two years of managing a project preferred. Financial Services and technical experience preferred.
• Undergraduate degree in related field (Computer Science, Engineering) required. Graduate degree preferred.
