QA Tester (Automation & Performance) Hybrid (No C2C)

Our client is seeking an experienced QA Tester to lead testing efforts on a large-scale public-sector application modernization program. In this role, you'll drive quality across multiple enterprise applications, uncover and investigate defects, identify root causes, and collaborate with both business and technical stakeholders. This position spans manual, automated, and performance testing using a modern QA toolset.

• Build and maintain test plans, strategies, scripts, scenarios, and matrices
• Manage testing and defects using HP ALM and/or JIRA
• Support QA across all phases of the SDLC and keep testing milestones on track
• Execute tests, analyze results, prepare reports, and estimate testing effort
• Develop and run automated test cases and regression suites (UFT, Selenium)
• Perform back-end testing, data validation, data migration, and SQL query execution
• Conduct integration testing and run automation via CI/CD pipelines
• Test web services with SOAP UI, Postman, REST Assured, and Java
• Build performance test plans and scripts with JMeter, LoadRunner, or NeoLoad
• Automate native mobile app testing with Appium
• Perform accessibility testing to ADA Section 508 and WCAG 2.0 standards

Qualifications: 

• 7+ years creating and executing automated test scripts and functional/regression suites (Selenium or Cypress)
• 7+ years of performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad) including bottleneck, scalability, and baseline analysis
• 3+ years of web services testing (SOAP UI, Postman, REST Assured)
• 3+ years as a SQL / database migration tester with strong back-end and data-validation expertise
• Hands-on experience with HP ALM, JIRA, UFT, SQL Server, and CI/CD integration testing
• Experience with Appium, accessibility testing (508 & WCAG 2.0), Java/VB/JScript, Microsoft Azure, and MS Office Suite
• Prior state or federal government client experience strongly preferred

Pay Range: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
