QA Tester

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Role Overview

A QA Tester is responsible for testing and delivering complex software to accomplish businessoutcomes. These individuals are subject matter experts on testing practices, ensuring that software is tested to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. This role involves conditioning and generating test data, building and executing both manual and automated test suites, recording and communicating test results, and assisting with triaging defects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead test planning at a team level and ensure stories are well-refined with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning.
  • Implement the test framework for the team and lead test case reviews to ensure test coverage.
  • Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types.
  • Condition and generate test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments.
  • Execute manual and automated test cases and record the results.
  • Report issues and defects with appropriate background information for review.
  • Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assist with resolving or escalating them.
  • Create and manage traceability through the development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and catalog test suites across different test types (e.g., Smoke, Integration, Regression).
Required Qualifications

Experience: Program and Project Management experience is required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, and Agile methodologies is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of SWIFT is a significant advantage.
Work Environment

This position has a hybrid schedule requirement, with a minimum of three days per week on-site.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated pay rate for this position is between $46.00 and $51.08 per hour. This position is eligible for benefits.
