Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide end-to-end Quality Assurance support to ensure high-quality technology solutions, validating systems against business requirements, regulatory standards, and operational expectations prior to deployment, with emphasis on functional, regression, and integration testing.
Review project documentation and requirements; raise clarifications, questions, and issues.
Define and document test scope/approach artifacts as required (e.g., test plans, entry/exit criteria, test reports).
Create high-level test scenarios and detailed manual test cases; participate in peer reviews and incorporate feedback.
Maintain requirements traceability by linking test cases to requirements and test evidence in the agreed tooling.
Prepare and/or validate test data needed to execute assigned scenarios.
Execute functional, regression, and integration test cases; capture evidence and results.
Log, link, and track defects through to closure; support defect triage and provide timely retest/verification of fixes.
Escalate critical issues promptly and support UAT by retesting defect fixes as changes progress through environments.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, business analysts, and project managers; attend stand-ups, triage calls, and retrospectives.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a large-scale software development environment.
Proven track record working in Agile Scrum teams.
Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, and iterative development best practices.
Passion for QA and a commitment to quality in Agile environments.
Strong analytical, strategic, and innovative thinking.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and directions.
Ability to multitask, take initiative, and meet tight deadlines.
Skilled in troubleshooting and issue analysis, with a focus on suggesting improvements and workarounds.
Strategic and innovative mindset to help transform QA teams.
Ability to provide detailed reporting to senior management on implementation progress.
Experience in designing and developing test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
Solid understanding of Trade Finance products and processes, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Collections.
Familiarity with financial systems and workflows, ideally within banking or financial services.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across different countries and time zones.
Required skills & tools (from in-scope activities)
Test management/defect tracking: JIRA (including linking requirements test cases defects); familiarity with X-Ray is beneficial.
Documentation & collaboration: Ability to work with shared documentation repositories and team knowledge bases (e.g., SharePoint and Confluence).
Testing capability: Strong manual testing foundation across functional, regression, and integration testing; comfortable working across multiple applications/platforms.
Defect management: Clear defect write-ups, traceability, and disciplined follow-through through triage, retest, and closure.
Data skills: Able to set up and manage test data; for complex testing, able to support SQL query design and transformation logic validation as required.
Automation exposure: Willingness to request access to the chosen automation tool and execute assigned automation scripts if required (tool to be specified).
Communication: Communicate progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders; produce clear written status updates and metrics.
