Role: QA Tester – Enterprise Applications Location:Redwood City, CA
Duration: 6+ months
Overview: Seeking an experienced QA Tester to validate enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and system configurations to ensure functionality, data accuracy, and quality before production deployment. The role involves manual testing, defect management, system integration testing, and collaboration with business users, developers, vendors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to develop test scenarios and test cases.
Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scripts for application functionality, features, and bug fixes.
Perform manual functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance, security, and performance testing.
Identify, documents, track, and retest defects using bug-tracking tools.
Validate Salesforce configurations, including custom objects, fields, layouts, flows, validation rules, permission sets, and custom Apex code.
Perform REST API integration testing using Postman and validate data exchange between systems.
Verify data integrity and accuracy during data migration and routine operations using Data Loader, SOQL, and SQL queries.
Support integration testing and UAT, coordinate with business users and vendors, and provide regular testing status reports.
Validate defect fixes and ensure applications meet business requirements before production release.
Minimum Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge and experience with software testing methodologies.
Experience with enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or complex business-system implementations.
Knowledge of manual testing methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices.
Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as Jira and API testing tools such as Postman.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, documentation, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Salesforce application testing, configuration validation, and Apex customization testing.
Experience with REST APIs, Data Loader, SOQL/SQL, data migration, and system integration testing.
Experience supporting public-sector or large enterprise application implementations.
Specific Implementation Responsibilities:
Requirement analysis and development of test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
Manual functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, and system testing.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT), security testing, and performance testing.
Salesforce configuration validation, including custom objects, fields, layouts, flows, validation rules, and permission sets.
Custom Apex code testing and validation against business requirements.
REST API integration testing using Postman and verification of data exchange between systems.
Data migration and data integrity validation using Data Loader, SOQL, and SQL queries.
Defect identification, documentation, tracking, retesting, and verification of fixes.
Test execution tracking, defect reporting, and regular QA status updates.
Coordination with business users, developers, vendors, and stakeholders during integration testing and UAT.
Validation of application functionality, features, and bug fixes before production deployment.
