Quality Inspector Location: Amityville, NY Employment Type: Direct Hire / Full-Time Position Summary Support inspection, receiving, and quality documentation activities for aerospace metal materials. This role focuses on incoming inspection, review of material documentation, and maintenance of quality records in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Responsibilities
Review and verify receiving documentation, including material certifications, material test reports, and purchase order requirements.
Assist with material identification, traceability, and segregation.
Record and maintain quality records using Microsoft Excel and internal quality systems.
Apply basic GD&T knowledge for dimensional verification against drawings or specifications.
Additional Duties
Assist with internal audits, corrective actions, and other quality system activities as assigned.
Support quality activities within a warehouse environment as required.
Qualifications
2+ years in a quality inspection or manufacturing environment.
Experience using calipers and micrometers in an inspection or manufacturing environment.
Understanding of dimensional inspection and tolerance.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Additional Requirements
Prior quality, inspection, and receiving experience.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
Basic knowledge of GD&T.
Willingness to work in both an office and warehouse environment.
Compensation
$70,000 - $80,000 base salary, commensurate with experience.
