Job Description

Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst (Mainframe Testing) (14207)
Client: State of South Carolina – Clemson University / SCDHHS
Location:Columbia, SC 29212 100% Remote
Duration: 12 Months (Extension Possible)
Interview Process: 1 Round – Virtual

Candidate Eligibility: No South Carolina residency required. Candidates must reside within the continental United States and be comfortable working EST hours.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test plans for mainframe-based Medicaid applications.
  • Perform functional, system, integration, and business interface testing as applicable to project requirements.
  • Test software coding changes involving Medicaid systems and related data.
  • Analyze test results, identify discrepancies, and investigate differences between expected and actual outcomes.
  • Collaborate with development teams and project stakeholders to resolve testing issues.
  • Support client with User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Coordinate testing activities with internal users, external healthcare providers, and trading partners as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain business, process, and technical testing documentation.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while meeting project deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Clemson University staff and other contracted project resources.
Required Skills
  • 4+ years of experience with Mainframe systems.
  • 4+ years of experience with MVS COBOL.
  • 4+ years of experience with JCL (Job Control Language).
  • 4+ years of experience with Software Testing.
  • 4+ years of experience creating Test Scenarios.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Experience with Serena ChangeMan.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel as a testing tool.
  • ISTQB Certification preferred.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
