Our client, a manufacturing company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector to support production quality control at their Elizabeth, New Jersey facility. This is a temporary assignment suited for someone with hands-on inspection experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
The role involves inspecting incoming materials, in-process goods, and finished products against established specifications. The inspector will document findings, flag non-conforming items, and work closely with production supervisors to address quality issues as they arise.
This position offers immediate start and the opportunity to gain experience with a well-established manufacturer. Candidates who perform well may be considered for extended assignments.
Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, components, and finished products for defects
Measure products using calipers, gauges, and other precision instruments
Document inspection results and maintain quality control logs
Identify and tag non-conforming products for review
Report quality trends and recurring issues to supervisors
Perform in-process checks throughout the production line
Assist with root cause investigations for quality deviations
Maintain a clean and organized inspection workstation
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers
Strong attention to detail and record-keeping accuracy
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
High school diploma or equivalent required
Familiarity with ISO or similar quality standards preferred
