JOB SUMMARYThe Quality Control Lead is responsible for overseeing and directing Quality Control (QC) personnel within an assigned production area involved in the manufacture of precast duct bank products. This position ensures all inspections, testing, measurements, and quality verification activities are completed in accordance with company standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The Quality Control Lead serves as the primary quality resource in their designated area, providing guidance, training, and accountability to QC team members while promoting continuous improvement and defect prevention.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise and coordinate the daily activities of Quality Control Inspectors assigned to a designated production area.Ensure all precast duct bank products are inspected in accordance with approved quality control procedures and project specifications.Conduct final acceptance inspections prior to product release and shipment.Investigate quality concerns and determine root causes of defects or non-conformances.Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and technical guidance to QC personnel.Train and develop Quality Control employees on inspection techniques, company standards, and quality procedures.Assist management with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary.Ensure all quality records are maintained accurately and retained according to company requirements.Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to address recurring quality issues.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequently walk throughout production and manufacturing areas.Ability to stand, bend, climb, kneel, and inspect products for extended periods.Lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.Work in indoor and outdoor manufacturing environments exposed to varying weather conditions.Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of 3-5 years of quality control experience in precast concrete, concrete manufacturing, construction materials, or a related industry.Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and blueprints.High School Diploma or GED required.Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field preferred.
