Job Title: Quality Control Engineer I Location: Houston, TX Contract Length: 12 months with possible extension Pay Range: $25-30/hr
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality requirements and standards for product and process development.
Serve as the primary quality assurance resource for the department, supporting problem identification, resolution, loss reporting, and continuous improvement.
Support concurrent engineering initiatives by participating in design and development projects.
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection.
Implement and maintain quality standards, inspection processes, testing methodologies, quality plans, documentation, and reports.
Assist with process certification and compliance activities.
Develop, execute, and analyze quality metrics and reporting measures.
Monitor and report quality issues, trends, defects, and operational losses.
Participate in internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process or product quality concerns.
Investigate product quality issues and recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction.
Support the development and implementation of quality management systems in accordance with applicable standards, such as ANSI/ISO 9001, SQF, ISO 14001, and QS 9100.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of quality assurance systems, quality management principles, and applicable industry standards.
Relevant certifications, such as ISO 9001, or equivalent quality-related certifications, may be preferred.
Proficiency in Client Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field relevant to the job scope.
