Quality Auditor (Dimensional Inspector) – Weekend Shift

The BAE Systems site in Aiken, South Carolina, supporting Combat Mission Systems, is seeking a Quality Auditor (Dimensional Inspector) for its Weekend Shift.

In this role, you will use a Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and other inspection equipment to inspect machined and/or welded components against blueprint requirements prior to shipment to customers. You will also provide quality auditing support to shop floor operations.

Note: This position supports Second and Weekend Shift.

Required Skills

• Experience with and/or knowledge of basic inspection tools, including:
• Calipers
• Micrometers
• Height gages
• Scales
• Other dimensional inspection equipment
• Ability to read, comprehend, and work from engineering blueprints.
• Ability to support Second and Weekend Shift.

Preferred Skills

• Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) experience.
• Knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Weld inspection knowledge or experience.
• Experience with FARO Arm/Laser Tracker equipment.
• Experience with Keyence inspection equipment.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically requires one year of related work experience.

Schedule

• Second/Weekend Shift.
• Candidates must be available to support the required weekend schedule.
