Your responsibilities will include:
Visually inspect incoming and outgoing wire for defects, damage, or other discrepancies.
Complete required quality-control measurements using established inspection methods and equipment.
Operate measurement equipment accurately and document inspection results.
Perform daily calibration checks on gram scales and other assigned testing equipment.
Read and follow product requirements contained in Method Masters and related production documentation.
Identify different wire types, reel sizes, and product specifications.
Tag, identify, and process reels of wire accurately.
Collect materials from the final inspection area and support the processing of discrepant materials.
Weigh and tag scrap boxes at the end of each shift and replace them with empty containers.
Supply production lines with the correct feedstock and production materials.
Back up production lines with the appropriate feedstock based on Method Master requirements.
Maintain organized feedstock and reel-storage areas.
Store materials using proper signage, designated inventory lanes, and First In, First Out practices.
Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
Move reels and materials without damaging the product or equipment.
Complete required forklift safety inspections and checklists.
Enter inspection, material, and product information into company computer systems.
Follow all established safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Communicate daily with supervisors, operators, and employees on other shifts to ensure operational priorities are met.
Assist with on-the-job training for employees assigned to the department.
Support Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement initiatives.
Contribute ideas that improve safety, quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and cost performance.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Previous quality-control, inspection, manufacturing, production, or material-handling experience is preferred.
Experience using measurement or inspection equipment is preferred.
Ability to recognize product defects and follow detailed specifications.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Basic computer and data-entry skills.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, Method Masters, and production documentation.
Ability to manage time-sensitive responsibilities and production priorities.
Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Strong record of safety, quality, reliability, and attendance.

Pay: $20.00 per hour.
Full-time, 3rd shift schedule.
Work hours: 10:30 pm.-7:00 a.m.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment.
Approximately 60%-70% of working time may be spent on the production floor.
The position requires frequent standing and walking.
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
