Quality Control Inspector – Precision CNC Manufacturing

DPI Inc., an established precision CNC manufacturing company founded in 1988, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team.

We manufacture precision-machined components for customers in aerospace, defense, cryogenics, and industrial markets. Our work involves a diverse mix of complex components, close tolerances, and demanding quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision CNC-machined components.

• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications.

• Perform dimensional inspections using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.

• Operate and assist with CMM inspections based on experience.

• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

• Identify and document nonconforming products.

• Assist with first article inspections and AS9102 documentation.

• Work closely with machinists and production leadership to resolve dimensional and quality issues.

• Support continuous improvement of inspection processes and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection experience in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge.

• Proficiency with precision measuring equipment.

• Understanding of machining processes and manufacturing tolerances.

• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

• CMM experience strongly preferred.

• Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems is a plus.
