Quality Control Inspector

gpac, a recruiting firm with 30+ years in business, is partnered with a well-established company in the structural steel and metals fabrication industry in the Indianapolis, IN area. Our client is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support quality inspections in a steel fabrication environment.

Position Responsibilities:

- Inspect fabricated parts and assemblies to drawings and specifications

- Document inspection results and nonconformances

- Support the company quality program and AISC certification requirements

- Communicate quality issues to production

- Maintain inspection tools and records

Position Essential Job Functions:

- Perform dimensional and visual inspections

- Verify material traceability and documentation

- Inspect welds and coatings to standards

- Support customer and third-party inspections

- Help with corrective actions

Position Skills:

- 1+ years of quality inspection experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing

- Ability to read shop drawings and weld symbols

- Knowledge of AWS D1.1; AWS CWI a plus

- Strong attention to detail

- Basic computer skills
