We are currently searching on behalf of our client, an established construction firm in Hawaii that specializes in federal projects. They have a steady pipeline of federal work and are adding a Quality Control Manager to make sure every project meets contract standards from start to finish.
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a Quality Control Manager who knows federal construction and can own the quality program on site. You will run the three-phase control process, manage submittals and inspections, and serve as the quality lead with government representatives. This role is a strong fit for someone who has worked as a QC Manager on federal jobs, takes documentation seriously, and wants a stable role with a contractor that does this work every day.
What You'll Do

• Manage submittals. Review, track, and approve submittals and shop drawings for compliance with plans and specifications before they go to the government.
• Inspect and test work. Conduct daily inspections, coordinate testing and special inspections, and verify materials and workmanship meet contract standards.
• Track and resolve deficiencies. Maintain the deficiency log, issue corrective actions, and confirm issues are closed out on time.
• Document everything. Prepare daily QC reports, inspection records, and test results, and keep quality documentation current in the government system.
• Coordinate with the government. Serve as the main quality point of contact for the contracting officer and government representatives, and attend coordination and mutual understanding meetings.
• Work with field teams and subs. Partner with superintendents, project managers, and subcontractors to prevent rework and keep the schedule on track.
• Support safety. Work alongside the safety team to make sure quality and safety requirements are met on site.
• Lead closeout. Manage punch lists, pre-final and final inspections, as-builts, and turnover documentation.
