Quality Control Manager

Partners Personnel is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities for one of our manufacturing clients. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO compliance, supplier quality programs, inspection processes, audit activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure products consistently meet customer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational quality expectations.

The Quality Control Manager serves as the organization's quality subject matter expert and strategic leader, partnering with Production, Engineering, Product Development, Purchasing, and Executive Leadership to drive operational excellence, improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Major Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities across the organization.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and company quality policies.

  • Establish department objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and quality performance metrics.

  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop Quality Inspectors and quality team members.

  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final product inspection programs.

  • Lead internal audits, external audits, supplier audits, and customer quality audits.

  • Investigate customer complaints, quality issues, and nonconforming products.

  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).

  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Reduce defects, scrap, rework, and overall cost of quality through process improvements.

  • Develop and maintain quality procedures, work instructions, inspection standards, and documentation.

  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Product Development, Purchasing, and Operations to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

  • Develop supplier quality standards and manage vendor performance programs.

  • Review and approve quality specifications, technical documentation, inspection standards, and product requirements.

  • Monitor department performance through dashboards, scorecards, and quality reporting.

  • Support new product introductions and product launches by ensuring quality requirements are achieved.

  • Manage Material Review Board (MRB) activities and disposition of nonconforming materials.

  • Develop and deliver quality training programs throughout the organization.

  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Present quality metrics, audit results, and improvement initiatives to executive leadership.

  • Support company objectives related to quality, safety, delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive quality experience within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing quality teams.

  • Strong working knowledge of ISO-certified Quality Management Systems.

  • Experience leading internal and external audits.

  • Experience managing supplier quality programs and CAPA processes.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality metrics and drive continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.
