Quality Control Technician
Location: Ontario, CA
Industry: Nutritional Bars & Functional Powder Manufacturing
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $19-$20/hr DOE
Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 3:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 12-hour shifts with rotating weekly schedule (includes weekends)
- Example: Work Mon, Off Tue/Wed, Work Thu/Fri ? Next week: Work Tue/Wed, Off Thu/Fri
Job Summary
A leading formulator and manufacturer of nutritional bar and functional powder products is seeking dedicated Quality Control Technicians to join their growing team. This is a long-term opportunity with room for advancement and consistent overtime.
Responsibilities
- Conduct inspections according to established quality standards and specifications
- Use basic measuring tools (scale, ruler, micrometer, thermometer) to perform tests
- Calculate averages and data ranges using basic math skills
- Document inspection results clearly and report discrepancies to supervisors
- Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Prepare samples for sensory or analytical testing (weighing, mixing, labeling)
- Perform routine lab tests (water activity, pH, viscosity, etc.)
Qualifications Manufacturing or production experience preferred Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as needed Comfortable working around production machinery Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and a pos
