Position Summary:
Responsible for continuous improvement of the sites quality management system. Works cooperatively with other departments (Value Stream, Engineering, Inside Sales, Supply Chain) to ensure that non-conformances are investigated to their true root cause, and corrective action has been implemented and proven effective at eliminating the source of the non-conformance. Designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance processes, procedures, and statistical techniques. Leads quality improvement initiatives as per IATF 16949-2016 to achieve set sigma level for the value stream.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):
• Supports the Value Streams and their supporting departments in the investigation and resolution of product defects, audit findings, and other types of nonconformances. Support functions include:
• Maintains assigned elements of the sites Quality Management System, including:
• Promotes and supports the implementation of Process Control activities as per IATF 16949 2016 within the manufacturing environment, including:
• Actively participates in Crane Business System activities Kaizen and JDI events, including project team involvement, problem solving, and recommending solutions to enhance and improve the quality of departmental and/or company-wide business activities.
• Performs other work as assigned.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
• Bachelors degree in one of the following areas: mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technologies, industrial engineering, or chemical engineering, with prior relevant internship/co-op experience preferred. • Must demonstrate exceptional computer skills in Microsoft Office and other programs as required. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to read / interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders. • Ability to perform primary responsibilities with minimal direction from Management. • Carries out responsibilities with positive attitude and strong work ethic.
