Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support the development and implementation of quality systems for a growing manufacturing operation. This role will work closely with the Quality Manager, QC laboratory, Operations, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to establish robust measurement, documentation, nonconformance, change-control, and statistical process-control systems.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a build-phase manufacturing environment, where quality processes are actively being established and refined. This position requires someone who can translate quality principles into practical systems that can be consistently executed by laboratory and manufacturing teams.

As the quality system matures, the role will expand into broader quality engineering responsibilities including CAPA, root-cause analysis, customer complaints, supplier quality, continuous improvement, and ISO 9001 readiness.

What will you be doing?

Measurement Systems & Statistical Quality Control

  • Develop and implement the site Measurement System Analysis (MSA) program for laboratory and manufacturing measurements.
  • Plan, execute, and interpret Gage R&R, bias, linearity, stability, and other appropriate measurement-system studies.
  • Establish measurement-system acceptance criteria and identify opportunities to reduce measurement variation.
  • Support establishment and maintenance of calibration, verification, and measurement-equipment control processes.
  • Develop and maintain SPC/SQC monitoring, including control charts, process capability analysis (Cp/Cpk), trend monitoring, and reaction plans.
  • Partner with QC, Engineering, and Operations to ensure measurement systems are suitable for product release and process-control decisions.

Quality Systems Development

  • Support development, refinement, implementation, and maintenance of the site Quality Management System.
  • Develop and implement processes for:
  • Nonconforming Material Reports (NCMR)
  • Material Review Board (MRB)
  • Management of Change (MOC)
  • Out-of-Control Action Plans (OCAP)
  • Deviations and CAPA
  • Document and record control
  • Ensure quality processes include clearly defined responsibilities, escalation requirements, disposition authority, closure criteria, and effectiveness checks.
  • Support development of workflows, forms, templates, tracking systems, and quality metrics.

Who are You?

  • Bachelors degree in a STEM/technical field (Chemical engineering, engineering, chemistry, etc)
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar role or techincal position

We understand that not all candidates may meet the requirements listed above. If you believe you have the knowledge and experience necessary to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.
