Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality control systems.
- Identify required specifications per customer print, determining an appropriate level of variation and monitoring quality assurance rates.
- Design automated testing systems and quality control workflows to improve the efficiency of the quality assurance process.
- Collect data about instances of product errors and investigation of possible solutions by troubleshooting the manufacturing or design process.
- Document initial quality standards and the actual quality of products during production.
- Find defects, help determine the causes of those defects, and assist to create resolutions.
- Teach production staff how to use effective quality controls and supervise outcomes.
- Work closely with design and production teams to solve problems.
- Respond to questions about how to achieve quality goals and implement changes to reduce the instance of human or machine errors.
Duties:
- Determining quality improvement factors.
- Implementing methods to inspect, test and evaluate the reliability of the manufacturing processes, products, and production equipment.
- Making sure processes adhere to quality standards.
- Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
- Programming computerized measuring equipment, such as CMM, Keyence, and GMM.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of relevant software, quality assurance methods, measuring tools, gages, and quality manufacturing processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong Math Skills.
- Knowledge of metals machining.
- Attention to detail.
- Analysis, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle stress.
- Capable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to switch between tasks easily.
Educational Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Four (4) or more years of quality engineering experience.
Good Quality Engineers are highly analytical people who love solving problems.
