Quality Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a Quality Engineer for an aerospace manufacturer, a great opportunity for someone with AS9100/AS9102 quality assurance, first article inspection, and audit experience looking to further their career in aerospace quality.

•      Interpret engineering drawings, specs, and GD&T to flow down customer quality requirements

•      Prepare AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports; review and approve manufacturing plans, CIRs, and CRRs

•      Conduct internal audits; issue Corrective Action Requests and verify effectiveness using root cause analysis

•      Disposition nonconforming product and analyze rejection data for management and customers

•      Maintain Approved Supplier List, apply PO quality clauses in MRP, and mentor junior QE/QA staff

Essential Qualifications

•      10 years of aerospace QA/inspection experience, or 5 years of QA experience with a related degree

•      Advanced drawing/specification interpretation, fluent GD&T, and AS9100/AS9102 knowledge

•      Documented internal audit experience; proficient in MS Office

Bonus Qualifications

•      Engineering degree or ASQ CQE certification

•      RCCA tools (5 Why, Fishbone); Catia/Enovia and ERP experience

•      Hands-on aircraft structural parts inspection
