QUALITY ENGINEER (Permanent) Our client, a global manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY, is looking to add a Quality Engineer to their growing team. This role reports directly to the Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
Perform cross-functional responsibilities to improve production, engineering, and materials outcomes from a Quality standpoint
Spearhead regulatory compliance functions, including audits, report preparation, responding to inquiries/issues, and database management/maintenance
Advocate for continuous improvements and develop & implement processes and procedures towards quality, safety, regulatory, FMEAs, control plans, etc.
Prepare/Present documentation and reports to maintain Quality and Environmental Management Systems (ISO9001/ISO14001) and contribute to registration audits
Review SOPs, training documents, and work instructions to identify areas for improvement
Review engineering plans, specifications, and design inspection protocols to ensure appropriate Quality plans are implemented
Develop Corrective Action plans by performing root cause analysis, creating short-term action plans, and implementing long-term corrective action plans
Clearly communicate quality issues as they relate to various internal teams (Customer Service, Engineering, Logistics, Production, etc.) across all company sites
Ensure Quality issues are being communicated to customers and suppliers in a timely manner
Analyze inspection and test processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure timely implementation
Evaluate new components and products as necessary—both purchased and sold
Regularly monitor Quality metrics to ensure goals/objectives are on track to be met/exceeded
Work well both independently and in a team environment
Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
Position is full-time, direct hire
100% in-office
$75,000 - $95,000 annually depending on experience

Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering or related
3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of quality management systems
Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge of pumps, HVAC, heat exchangers, pressure vessels is preferred
Proficient computer skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong organization skills and time management skills
Strong attention to detail
Self-motivated
Able to lift 20-30 lbs
