Quality Assurance Engineer
Our client is a leading manufacturer in the steel and heavy industrial sector, supplying essential products to industries including automotive, construction, and packaging. The company is investing heavily in one of its flagship facilities through operational expansion, new manufacturing capabilities, and continued growth of its engineering and quality teams to support future demand and innovation.
Support quality assurance efforts within a large-scale manufacturing environment by ensuring products meet customer specifications and internal standards
Partner closely with operations to provide metallurgical and technical support across production
Analyze process and product data to identify opportunities for quality improvement
Lead and support root cause investigations, rejection analysis, and corrective actions
Perform internal audits and maintain compliance with quality systems and procedures
Develop and present quality reports and participate in quality-related meetings
Conduct daily floor audits to ensure operations are running within defined parameters
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency and product quality

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Experience within steel or heavy industrial manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of quality systems, with exposure to ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 preferred
Proven ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive process improvements
Hands-on experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with operations and engineering teams
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in a plant environment
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven setting
Salary typically between $70K-$100K depending on experience
Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
401k with ~6% company match
PTO starting at 2 weeks, increasing to 3 weeks
