Overview:**This is 100% remote position. CHLA requires a primary residence in California prior to start date. Will require on-site visits for monthly meetings and/or as needed by the department needs.**

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: the Quality Improvement Coordinator I is responsible for leading quality /performance improvement initiatives impacting core clinical processes and patient care functions. Works collaboratively with managers and physicians to identify and enhance clinical issues that produce quantitative and qualitative results for internal and external customers. Performance outcome deliverables include quality, safety, and process improvement. Provides support for Quality Improvement’s quality and safety projects and initiatives and supports the hospital’s benchmarking efforts. Performs day-to-day Quality Improvement activities by hospital policy and procedures, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements. Supports the Quality and Safety Dashboard and develops audit tools. Presents to various groups such as Medical Staff Committees, subcommittees of the Board of Trustees, and Patient Care Services Committees.
Supports quality improvement initiatives across CHLA ambulatory clinics and Care Network community-based pediatric primary care practices through project coordination, data management, and practice engagement. This role is ideal for someone looking to build experience in ambulatory quality improvement, population health, and practice transformation.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2+ years of related work experience. Combination of work experience in a hospital and data analysis experience. Experience working with physicians and other health care professionals.
Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in health care or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Certified Laboratory Technician or Certified Laboratory Specialist preferred.

Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates who meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates who exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
